100 years of Scouting, 3500 Patrols, Only 1 winner100 years of Scouting
3,500 Patrols
Only 1 winner

Since January, Scouts from across the UK have competed to win a VIP trip to the World Scout Jamboree. From an original 3,500 participating Patrols, the Top 100 made it through to the second stage of the competition where they had 100 days to complete as many of the 100 Challenges as possible, recording them in the form of a scrapbook or video diary.

hspace=The Challenge 100 team met over the weekend to judge entries from the Top 100 Patrols in the competition. Entries came in from across the country and even as far as France (British Scouts in Western Europe). The outstanding quality of entries meant that the judging process had to be split over a number of days. The team were particularly impressed with the presentation and use of media to make the Challenges come to life. Credit was given for solving the Challenges in innovative ways and providing an insight into the Patrols thoughts and experiences.

Jersey Eagles win Challenge 100The overall competition winners were 6th Jersey Eagle Patrol. Eagle Patrol completed all 100 Challenges and included some fantastic evidence including rope made from pampas grass and  a video of them rapping in a convertible car with home-made 'bling'.

Eagle Patrol will visit the World Scout Jamboree this summer as VIP guests. Because of the exceptional quality of entries, we had to find more prizes to reward the runners up. The second place runners up will receive a free weekend camping at a National Centre. The third place runners up will receive a Challenge 100 Prize Pack. All Top 100 Patrols will receive a special certificate for their time and achievement in the competition.

The time and effort Patrols have spent on Challenge 100 has been incredible, for this reason the scrapbooks will be showcased before being returned.
